The Croatian National Team (Hrvatska nogometna reprezentacija), commonly known as Vatreni (The Blazers), is one of international football’s most admired and resilient programs. Representing Croatia on the global stage, the team is governed by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and based in Zagreb.
Despite being a relatively young nation in international competition, Croatia has established itself as a global powerhouse, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and a third-place finish in 2022. Since playing its first official match in 1990, Croatia has become known for its technical midfield play, tactical discipline, and ability to consistently outperform expectations on the world’s biggest stages.
